“***** and Les were amazing, along with the gents on the day of the service, empathy and compassion was excellent from start to finish, was kept informed at all times, nothing was ever too much trouble, I couldn’t recommend their services enough, wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.”

J Andrade

“I have never prepared a funeral before, never had to.  You, *****, made it non-threatening, made it something I felt I could do, made me feel like I was doing the right thing for Mum and the rest of my family, that I was not a bother, that no question was a stupid one and that you understood that I am a complete novice and didn’t know which way was up.  Amongst all the angst that goes with losing a loved one, you made it so that, by working through your processes, a beautiful funeral became possible and was delivered.  I can’t thank you enough for your kindness, your compassion, your respect and your gentleness in understanding the situation.  That requires skill, experience and compassion, all of which you have in abundance. Thank you for helping me make Mum’s funeral a good one.

The service itself, led by *****  was beautiful –  I can take some credit for choosing music and words but it wasn’t me who made everyone there feel safe, supported and respected. That was down to the gentlemen who led Mum in, bowed their heads as a mark of respect and treated me/us with such calmness and dignity – to Les who guided us through the service and helped us to say goodbye to guests, who carried the flowers to my car, who made us feel like we had time to say goodbye.  *****’s calm manner, easy tone and respectful attitude made the actual event feel just right. If I could have ordered the service of my choice, that was it.  The pandemic regulations necessitated a different level of service – however it was no less meaningful or positive.

I believe in credit where it is due.  The service that Moores provided to me and my family, to Mum, was absolutely perfect.  Thank you, all of you, for all that you do for those, like me, who don’t know what to do next – or where to stand or sit, where to be, how to organise a thing – and thank you for taking good care of my mum.  This  service was the last thing I could do for her – you helped me make that a positive  event to remember.

You all deserve recognition for the role that you play in helping people come to terms with the inevitable.”

“For anyone who is facing the loss of a loved one the overwhelming feeling is ‘Where do I start to plan the funeral’, one that appropriately celebrates the life just ended. This wonderful team at Moore’s offered a hand that held us throughout. From the moment we lost our beloved Mum, we were guided gently with dignity, respectand total understanding. It was as if a new friend had stepped forward and said we are here to help. ***** especially listened to our needs, despite dealing with many other families, gently advising and offering support. Thank you all so much for the time, patience and professional care afforded to us and especially to Mum from the moment of first contact to when she was looked after in the care of Leslie and his colleagues, to when she was returned to us after the service. You all made us feel better at such a sad time.”

Mrs S Thompson

“Dear *****, I just wanted to send you both our sincere gratitude and thanks for such a lovely send off for my Dad. You have shown nothing but compassion and understanding and you have really arranged such a lovely send off. From the second I spoke to you, I knew Moores was the right choice. You have provided such support and listened to everything we wanted, which is what was delivered today. You are an absolute credit to Moores and I couldn’t have done it without you!”

“Dear *****, I can honestly say that you made this journey for ***** so effortless and dignified. ***** and I are truly grateful. Thank you so very much, as being compassionate, kind and caring does not come easy for some and is often eroded over time when we work in jobs such as ours. We are truly grateful.”

“Dear Leslie, ***** and Team, I would just like to express my thanks to you and your team with regards to the passing of my Mum recently. Nothing was ever too much trouble. From the respectful and gentle way you came and collected her under your care, the communication between us and all the various people – flowers, the church, the coffin, the live video-feed, the printers to the most resplendent Conductor and pallbearers. Quite magnificent, and it felt like a real tribute to Mum. Mum could be quite fussy but she would certainly have been very impressed. Your team are an inspiration as to how to run a business well. Everything was handled beautifully and we are so grateful to have had your support during this time. Thank you ever so much,”

“I am just emailing to thank you, Leslie and all the team at Moore’s. The funeral yesterday was lovely, **** would have been very impressed. From start to finish your team have been kind, considerate, helpful, professional and very respectful. This has been a very difficult time for our family but you have all been thoughtful and supportive. Sadly, we are fully aware just how busy you are but you still managed to deliver an exceptional service. Thank you again on behalf of all **** family and friends.”

“I would like to thank  ***** and the staff at the Havant Office for all their help in planning my Aunt’s funeral. Losing someone and planning their funeral is always a very difficult time, but during the current lockdown situation it was even  more difficult, especially from 100 miles away and in isolation.
The family decided on a non-attendance cremation, with a celebration of my Aunt’s life at a later date. ***** guided us through the process with the utmost care and consideration, and nothing was too much trouble for her. I cannot recommend Moores at Havant enough.”

A. Lothian – Surrey

“I would personally like to thank you ***** for all what you have done for myself and for my dad, from beginning to the end. It’s very much appreciated. I Would also like to thank Lesley for making sure everything was seen to with my dad and going out of his way for us. The order of services were just out of this world and your professionalism stood through in everything. You all, at Moores, made us feel like one of the family when you arranged the final journey of our dearly departed, and this I thank you all very much.”

S. Mann, Havant

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to your staff for the very professional manner they carried out Mum’s funeral last Thursday. It was seamless and straightforward, unhurried and professional. I’d also like to say how much everyone appreciated Reverend Jim Thomas’s excellent and well delivered service. It was compassionate and considered. I can’t praise his services highly enough. Overall and taking into account the difficulties surrounding funerals at this particular moment in time, it was a memorable day for the right reasons. Finally a big thank you to you, *****, for your professional advice and assistance throughout. I believe everyone commented on the layout of the Order of Service with the shadowy outline of Mum as a younger women.”

K. Merrett, Portsmouth

“Its never easy going through this process but as you had dealt with a funeral for us before, we knew you would take away all our concerns and stress. Clearly everything you do at Moores is done with family in mind and is always carried out with warmth, compassion yet professional manner. Thank you ***** for understanding, and supporting our family and its needs at such a difficult time. We now feel able to take the next steps in facing life without Mum with far less trepidation.”

“*****, Firstly thank you for helping us through what was a very difficult time, secondly the way you understood exactly what was needed. Faultless. With our love and thanks. X x ”

“*****, Leslie and the team, thank you for handling XXXX funeral so expertly and sensitively. You made such a sad and awful time more pleasant for us with your advice, professionalism and understanding, AMAZING !”

“When I rang Moores in Havant I think my Guardian angel was with me.  From that first call ***** made me feel that my Father and my family were the most important people to her.  There were problems getting my father’s body released from the hospital but ***** did everything she could to ensure that they soon had him in their care. When I wanted complicated music at the service she worked in her own time to ensure the timing of the service was correct.  On the day of the funeral Les ensured that the care and attention to detail continued.  At all times my Father and the family were treated with respect and consideration.  I cannot recommend this Company enough.  Thank you for making a difficult day so much easier.”

Anita Smith, Dorset

“After having two close family bereavements, I cannot thank ***** and Les at Moores enough, for their professionalism support and care, the dignity and respect given to our loved ones and ourselves was greatly appreciated and cushioned our grief, from the first meeting through to the funeral. The guidance given by ***** throughout was professional and has had such a lasting and positive impression. We would highly recommend Moores at such a difficult time. We honestly can’t thank them enough”

S Fletcher

“I recently found Moore’s in Havant for my father’s funeral having already visited and discounted 3 other such businesses. I particularly wanted to use an independent directors and from the moment I walked through the door ***** was  exceptional. Her friendliness, professionalism and passion for the job shone through.  She listened to what I wanted, explained all the various options and planned the perfect funeral for my dad, put together with my help a lovely order of service and introduced us to the celebrant Felix Muscat who took the service at The Oaks. She was also endlessly patient with my slightly dotty mum. Thank you so much Moore’s and particularly ***** for making a difficult day memorable for all the right reasons.”

Roger, Bedhampton

“*****, what can I say, WOW. I want to express my heartfelt thanks to you, Leslie and all of the bearers. The funeral was amazing, all the little touches, the composure, direction and professionalism. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Everyone commented on what a stunning service they received and that they couldn’t have wished for anything more perfect.”

“As the brother of the late RG, I must tell you how much my family and I appreciated the dignity and care you and your team displayed at every stage of the funeral proceedings to ensure it ran smoothly.
