Our Funeral Costs
At Moore’s, we all believe that each and every funeral service should be a totally personal and unique occasion, one that is arranged to the exact requirements and wishes of the family.
We believe that the families that we support are treated as we would treat our own families – with care, support, dignity and respect.
We can also ensure that when deceased are brought into our care, they are taken to the branch that has been chosen by the family and cared for there.
We have signed the ‘Fair Funerals pledge’ and therefore uphold a Funeral Charge Promise. Our funeral charges are fair for the personal and professional services that we provide.
The Direct (Non-Attendance) Cremation
£1495
(No hidden charges)
This is a simple cremation that is offered to those not wishing to have an attended service.
What is included?
- Collection of the deceased from the place of death (within a 10-mile radius).
- Our professional services – completing all cremation paperwork and liaising with those necessary.
- Care of deceased whilst they rest in our premises – Includes washing and dressing (Excludes chapel of rest visits).
- Our dedicated funeral director on the day of the funeral.
- Crematorium fee – Either The Oaks, Havant Crematorium or Portchester Crematorium.
- The provision of our Hearse direct to chosen crematorium.
- Four Pall Bearers.
- The Hambledon coffin
- Doctor’s fee
- A complimentary hand tied floral tribute – choice of colour available.
Additional fees may include:
- Removal of a pacemaker or any other radioactive/battery-powered device
- Additional Pall bearers, if required
- An oversized coffin (exceeding 6’2″x22″)
- Out of area collection
- Burial rather than a cremation

The Simple Cremation Service

This is a simple and low-cost funeral service, whether it be that of the deceased wishes to have a simple send off or a family needing to keep within a budget.
What is included?
- Collection of the deceased from the place of death (within a 10-mile radius) – Regardless of day and time.
- Our professional services – completing all cremation paperwork and liaising with those necessary for a funeral service to take place.
- Care of deceased whilst they rest in our premises – Includes washing and dressing (Excludes chapel of rest visits *).
- Our dedicated funeral director on the day of the funeral.
- The provision of our Hearse to a local crematorium of choice.
- Four Pall Bearers.
- The Hambledon coffin.
Third-party fees:
- Crematorium fee
- Doctor’s fee (unless a coroner is involved)
- Minister/Celebrant fee
Additional fees may include:
- Removal of a pacemaker or any other radioactive/battery-powered device
- Additional Pall Bearers
- An oversized coffin (exceeding 6’2×22″)
- Out of area collection
- Chapel visits
- Floral tributes
Example: A funeral service at Portchester Crematorium with a celebrant taking the service and Doctor’s fee required (If a Coroner has been involved then a Doctor’s fee would not be required) would cost in total £2652.00.
*Chapel visits for our simple cremation can be arranged during office hours only.
